She handles the part nobody enjoys

Alex is our Patient Care Coordinator. She is not a clinician. Her job is everything that sits between you and your appointment.

In her words: "I am the patient care coordinator, and I help patients get checked in, answer any questions they may have, verify patients' insurance, and help patients get scheduled for their appointments."

Nobody puts off physical therapy because the exercises look hard. They put it off because the phone call, the coverage question and the calendar all feel like work. Alex is the reason that part takes minutes instead of weeks.

Background

Alex grew up in Dallas, Texas and went to school at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, graduating with a B.A. in Psychology in 2022. She has worked front desk roles in several different fields, and the skills she built there are what make this one work.

How she works with patients

"I understand that miscommunication happens sometimes and I always like to be 100% transparent with patients and make sure that we are communicating everything to them in a way that either helps them or makes it easier for them to communicate with us."

She likes working with a close, tight-knit group because she believes it helps the team thrive. Working somewhere that takes pride in helping people is what makes her proud to be part of it.

Outside the clinic

Alex spends her time being active, at home with her cat, or out with friends watching sports.
