Marissa is our Marketing Coordinator. She is not a clinician and does not treat patients. Her job is connection: building relationships with providers and with patients, in person and online.

If a doctor in Wilmington knows who we are, or you saw something of ours before you ever called, that is usually her work.

Background

Marissa is from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and moved to Wilmington in January 2023. She graduated from UNCW in May 2025 with a degree in Communication Studies, focusing on Integrated Marketing Communication. Before that she attended community college in Pennsylvania.

What she does here

Physical therapy has a marketing problem, and it is not the kind you fix with a louder ad. Most people who need it wait, because they are not sure it will help and nobody they trust has told them otherwise.

So the job is not selling. It is making sure the people who are already hurting know that a cause-first evaluation exists, that they will be one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy every visit, and that the plan they get will have an endpoint on it.

Outside the clinic

Marissa loves trying new things. New coffee shops, new restaurants, and traveling to new places. She also enjoys crafting, watching movies, and going to the beach.
