Natalie Knight

PT, DPT, Clinic Director

Natalie earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College’s accelerated DPT program in 2020. While at Ithaca, she contributed to clinical research in the Movement Analysis Laboratory focused on biomechanics, human movement, balance, and return to activity, with her work contributing to multiple peer-reviewed presentations and publications.

After relocating to Wilmington in 2021, Natalie began her career in outpatient physical therapy and has since gained extensive experience treating patients of all ages and activity levels. Her clinical background spans orthopedic and neurologic conditions, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, sports and overuse injuries, balance and fall prevention, and preventative care. Natalie is certified in Dry Needling and utilizes this advanced technique, when appropriate, alongside manual therapy, movement-based interventions, and progressive exercise to address pain, mobility restrictions, and muscular dysfunction while supporting each patient’s overall recovery and functional goals.

Natalie enjoys working with patients across all ages and activity levels, with particular interests in orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, injury prevention, balance and fall prevention, post-operative recovery, chronic pain and mobility limitations, and maintaining long-term strength and wellness. She especially enjoys helping patients understand the underlying factors contributing to their symptoms and developing individualized treatment plans that allow them to return to the activities that are most meaningful to them.

Natalie believes physical therapy should extend beyond simply treating an injury or painful body part. She takes a whole-person approach to care, considering how strength, mobility, movement patterns, lifestyle, daily demands, and overall health influence the way each patient feels and functions. She is passionate about identifying and addressing contributing factors rather than focusing solely on symptoms, while providing patients with the education and tools they need to take an active role in their recovery.

A major focus of Natalie’s treatment philosophy is prevention and the promotion of lifelong health and wellness. Whether helping someone recover from an injury, return to an activity they love, improve balance and confidence, or simply move and feel better in everyday life, her goal is to help each patient build the strength, mobility, and confidence necessary to remain active and independent long after physical therapy ends.

Outside Of Work

Outside of the clinic, Natalie enjoys exploring Wilmington, trying new restaurants, photography, spending time at the beach, staying active, and relaxing with a good book.
